Description

Measure the forces at any location in structures you build with any PASCO Structures System--this set provides 4 Load Cells and a Load Cell Amplifier to get you started.

Any I-beam in a structure can be substituted for two smaller I-beams connected to a Load Cell to measure forces at that location. Each amplifier can accept 6 Load Cells and if additional cells are needed, multiple amplifiers can be connected to a single computer through a PASCO interface.

Both Load Cell Amplifier and Load Cells are also available separately.

How It Works

A load cell can be inserted into the design by replacing one beam with a load cell connected to two shorter beams. There is no need to completely disassemble the structure to add instrumentation.
